A soulful interpretation of devotional songs composed by Sri Chinmoy arranged for voice, piano, bass, keyboard and guitar. Sri Chinmoy (1931-2007) was born in India but lived most of his life in New York City where he conducted meditations at the United Nations and taught meditation and the spiritual life to seekers around the world. Sahadeva has been studying with Sri Chinmoy since the 70's and has studied music in London England where he lives. Pavaka has been following the same spiritual path since the 90's and hails from Montreal, Canada. Both feel that they can deepen their meditative experience by singing and playing devotional music. The Sahadeva Ensemble has performed these arrangements worldwide with groups ranging from 1 to 100 members, often as part of the Songs of the Soul concert series www.songsofthesoul.com.

Here are some tracks from the album.

Listen to live recordings of the Sahadeva Ensemble recorded from various concert halls around the world.

“In the spiritual world, next to meditation is music, the breath of music. Meditation is silence, energising and fulfilling. Silence is the eloquent expression of the inexpressible.” Sri Chinmoy
